The Standing Committee on Official Languages, an all-party Committee of the Legislative Assembly, is responsible, in accordance with Motion 15, to lead consultations on a review of the Official Languages Act, to review the recommendations in the Report of the 2021 Review of the Official Languages Act of New Brunswick: Organization, Communication and Commitment, and to present its recommendations to the Legislative Assembly by December 31, 2026.
The Committee looks forward to receiving input from New Brunswickers on the implementation of the 2021 report and any factors since its publication that should be taken into account when revising the Official Languages Act.
