Legislative Assembly Bee Project

The Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick is proud to announce the installation of beehives on the roof of the Departmental Building.

This initiative is the result of collaboration between Dr. John Dornan, Minister of Health, and Hon. Francine Landry, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Dr. John Dornan, a hobby beekeeper, graciously offered two of his personal hives to ensure pollination on the grounds of the Legislative Assembly and the surrounding area.

The initiative aims to pollinate surrounding flowers, plants, and crops, and the harvested honey will be used to promote New Brunswick. Approximately 50,000 bees live in the hives.
