An Act to Amend the Gaming Control Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 The Gaming Control Act, chapter G-1.5 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2008, is amended by adding after section 23 the following:

Agreement to support horse racing industry

23.1 The Corporation may, with the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, enter into an agreement with Horse Racing New Brunswick Inc. for the purposes of supporting the harness racing industry in the Province and may, where there is an agreement, pay from its revenues no more than $1,000,000 in any year to that organization in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
